IT’S BACK!!  Each year during our New Year – 6 month Yoga Teacher Training course we offer one lucky winner the chance for a FREE scholarship!

It could be you or perhaps you would like to enrol someone whom you think embodies an imperfect, human form 🙂

We are powerfully grateful to have the teachings of yoga in our lives and wish to share this gratitude to someone who may otherwise be unable to at this time. May the Lions Roar be heard by All.

How to apply: (Please only apply for scholorship if you cannot otherwise afford to attend)

1). Fill out our online registration form.

2). Complete your enrolment by paying the training deposit to secure your spot in the training as space is limited. If you win, we return your deposit. If you do not have the financial means to pay the deposit, see Step 3 🙂

3). Write a 1000 word essay on everything that is YOU! How you came to find the teachings of yoga and what yoga means to YOU! Please be as open and honest in these writings.

4). Send all entries to vikarayogaacademy@gmail.com. All submission must be entered before December 15, 2016 for the training in January 2016!

Imagine spending 4 weeks this summer immersing yourself in the whole practice of Yoga!  Yoga immersion trainings tend to be well, intense.  Immersed in the study, philosophy and esoteric practices of yoga, we’ve designed a program over the summer that will allow students to discover and learn the teachings of yoga without being completely overwhelmed.

This 200 hr, Yoga Alliance accredited program will be taught over two full weeks in July and August, allowing students to immerse themselves but also encouraging introspection with time to rest and absorb the many teachings with a two week break in-between.

We take great pride in 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training program at Vikara Yoga because of it’s uniqueness and varied teachings.  Graduates will become knowledgeable in all ‘styles’ of yoga  with the ability to teach varied classes from Hatha, Restorative, Vinyasa Flow, Yoga Nidra, Pre & Postnatal Yoga and Kid’s to much much more!

Many people enrol in this program to deepen their personal practice with no desire to teach but rather use the teachings of yoga to navigate through life.

In order to foster growth and continue our focus on our mentorship program after the training, we limit out trainings to 15 people!  This training is already filling up so don’t delay!

One of our mottos at Vikara Yoga is that we’re stronger as a community!  We believe wholeheartedly in collaborating with other likeminded professionals in their specific fields to bring anyone interested in deepening their practice  together for a unique and educational experience.

Like our friend Lauran Mary Ference, a local  Clinical Herbalist and Doula who’s making waves in our community with her inspirational workshops on healing herbs, tinctures and crafting!

We’re elated about this fun, tactile event where we’ll explore the world of herbology and organic chemistry deepening an interest in both herbs and essential oils.  We can’t have all the fun in the classroom making tinctures and home remedies to take home, so Friday evening will be devoted to Medicinal Movement combining the practice of yoga with an aromatic experience using essential oils!
